The "King's Apartment", as our youngest son named it when we arrived, is located in the Maison Forte, the origins of which date back to the 14th century.

It is true that its oldest part has a splendid painted adobe floor, which attests to the noble character of this part of the house. It was probably built by a knight in the movement of the lords of Roussille, according to the documents that we have been able to find.

​

At the end of the 15th century, a long barlong main building was attached to it. Today transformed into a comfortable parental suite, you will find the remains of a more rural use since it was actually a tobacco barn. 

 

Served by an extremely rare outdoor gallery in the region, and protected by a large overhanging roof, you can have breakfast there or simply relax there while admiring the breathtaking view of the vineyards, grasslands and

the pond.

Mullioned windows, cut stone cushions, exposed oak beams and old parquet floors rub shoulders with a refined and modern decoration to offer you  an extraordinary journey through 700 years of history...
